Directors

The five members constituting the current Ferrowest Board collectively have experience spanning geology, engineering, metallurgy, project evaluation, corporate administration, finance and all share extensive project development and management experience.

This management team is supported by a close knit group of technical consultants who have worked with the Directors successfully over a number of years.

Mr. Robert Harry DuffinDuffin (63K)

Non-executive Chairman

Bob Duffin is a company director and consultant to the mining industry, specializing in mining investment analysis, valuations and the provision of mining sector investment advice.

Bob has a BSc (Hons), an MSc (Hons), a Graduate Diploma in Management and is a Fellow and Chartered Professional of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and holds an Australian Financial Services License issued by ASIC. He has over 30 years experience in resource exploration and project assessment, including over 15 years in mining investment analysis, project valuation and assessments of fair value of securities. Bob is the principal consultant with Resource Equity Consultants Pty Ltd and has written or contributed to over 100 independent experts reports and has acted as an 'Expert Witness' in resource litigation issues.

Bob's earlier experience includes senior exploration management positions with Peko-Wallsend Ltd and MIM Holdings Ltd, and working with three Australian broking firms, including as head of research with the specialised resources broker, Jacksons in the 1980s. He has also served as a director on the boards of more than a dozen public companies.


Mr. Brett ManningManning (65K)

Managing Director

Brett is responsible to the board for the operations of Ferrowest and the successful implementation of the Company's business plan.

He has more than 10 years experience in corporate management in a resource projects environment with diverse experience in a variety of management disciplines including strategic planning, human resources, government liaison, company secretarial practice, policy development, tenement management, accounting and treasury.

Brett is a director and company secretary of a number of private companies.

He has successfully completed Graduate Diploma subjects in Applied Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, Corporate Accounting, Company Secretarial Practice & Meetings and has an Advanced Certificate in Management.

Previously he was Company Secretary and General Manager Administration for Midwest Corporation and Administration Manager for Kingstream Steel and in recent times has provided corporate consulting services to various private clients.

Brett also previously established and operated a management consultancy for small business.

Prior to working in corporate management, Brett commenced his career in the Royal Australian Air Force in advanced avionics, and subsequently moved into quality management facilitation.

Brett is also a published novelist.

Mr. Barry Edward WyattWyatt (69K)

Project Director

Barry Wyatt has overall responsibility for the studies and development of the Yalgoo Iron Project.

Barry has a bachelor of civil engineering, is a member of both the Institute of Engineers Australia and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and is a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators.

He has over 30 years experience in engineering design and project management. He has held numerous positions as project manager or general manager including 10 years as project manager on iron projects in the mid west region of Western Australia.

Mr. Graeme JohnstonJohnston (62K)

Chief Geologist & Director

Graeme Johnston has overall responsibility for the exploration for iron ore, the maintenance of the Company's mineral tenement assets and for the development of JORC compliant Resources and Reserves required to underpin the Yalgoo Iron Project.

Graeme has a B.Sc (Hons) in Geology, M.Sc. in structural geology and rock mechanics, a Diploma of Imperial College of Science and Technology, is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.

Graeme has 20 years experience in geology and mineral exploration in Australia including 9 years directly involved in iron ore projects. He has also been director of several companies including Gemstar Diamonds Limited, Panther Resources Pty Ltd and was a founding director of the now ASX Listed Goldstar Resources Limited.

Mr. Philip EversEvers (62K)

Principal Metallurgist & Director

Phil Evers has responsibility for the metallurgical testwork and process development encompassing both the beneficiation plant and merchant pig iron plant integration into the Yalgoo Iron Project.

Phil has a BSc (Tech) Mineral Processing Technology from the University of NSW.

He has over 25 years experience in mineral processing including plant management, project development, process design and in recent years as a consultant metallurgist.

Daniel Johannes Bredenkamp

Company Secretary

Daniel has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting and business economics. He has 10 years of experience in business and his previous appointments include Pitcher Partners in Perth, KPMG Audit Tax and Advisory in South Africa and the Serious Fraud Office in London.
